We offer to work through direct referral with:

• children from age of 4 years
• individual adults
• couples

We know it can be daunting making that first contact, but we promise to listen carefully in a non-judgemental and empathic manner. If you have to leave a message on the answer phone, we will only speak to you when we call you back. We will not leave a message.

Your initial assessment will be made as quickly as possible, and during this meeting your counsellor will negotiate the need for further sessions with you. These meetings will take place at the counsellor's place of work.

You can feel confident that if a counsellor is working with a child, they will be able to work with them in the most appropriate manner for their age.

Each session of counselling costs £40, but if paying causes problems, please discuss it with your counsellor who can negotiate a reduced amount. Clients are never turned away because they cannot pay. In these circumstances the cost of providing this very valuable service to people who need support at a difficult time is met by a combination of client contributions, a grant from the local authority, and donations from supporters.
