Counselling can offer a safe and supportive environment in which to explore emotional difficulties that can occur at times throughout our lives. This might be because of a crisis or as a result of on-going relationship issues. At these times confidence can take a hard knock, self-esteem can plummet, and fears for the future can overwhelm. It can be very confusing to experience powerful emotions such as sadness, grief, guilt and anger. Counselling can give you the space and the safety of a confidential setting in which to talk about these feelings, your reactions and behaviour, knowing that you won’t be judged, criticised, or told what to do. Your counsellor will offer you compassion, understanding, sound experience and high quality skills to help you explore your feelings and to make any changes you feel you need to make.
